About COST networks

COST (European Cooperation in the Field of Scientific and Technical Research) is a multilateral organization of 25 European countries for the promotion of science and scientific cooperation. The networks of COST provide a frame for the individual scientific laboratories to discuss the status of the common scientific field and to plan collaborations to utilize better the resources of the given labs. COST networks do not provide direct research funds, but encourage their members to apply for national funding in their home countries.
